My name is Nancy and I would like to thank you for visiting my web page and for your interest in enrolling your child in my program. I was born and raised in Québec and learned English through my travels. I have over 30 years of experience caring for children, from when I first babysat as a teenager. Later, I nannied both privately and with an agency when I lived in Calgary where I went to learn English after which I worked as a French Language Assistant for 8 years in many French Immersion Schools within the Calgary, Sooke, and Saanich School Districts with children from kindergarten to grade 12. Presently, I have been running my daycare for over 15 years.
The reason I began providing daycare in my home was because (as you can see from my experience) I truly enjoy working with children. I am a mother of 3, now all teenagers, so opening a daycare also allows me to help supplement our family's income, but it is not the main reason I started. I hope I can provide all the love and attention you could possibly want for your child. All of the children for whom I care for are treated as one of my own and I hope that everyone feels like part of our family.
My goal is to provide a high quality, nurturing and safe learning environment for your child(ren) that will help him/her grow into a wonderful, curious, and happy person. I maintain a structured daily program with regards to meals, rest time and activities, because I believe children do best when they can predict how their day will go. I do leave room for flexible outings and activities when needed. Good manners and respect for others, oneself and material are greatly valued in my home.
